Seattle Central College offers a Care Navigation and Coordination Certificate designed to prepare individuals who are interested in coordination and advocacy roles across health and human services systems. The certificate is based on the concept of integrated care for the whole person and focuses on strategies to navigate care for clients. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, this field is expected to rise 16 percent from 2016 to 2026. This increase is considered much faster than other occupations.
Care coordinators and navigators act as liaisons between clients, and many facets of healthcare systems. As a care coordinator or navigator, you may work closely with an interdisciplinary medical team. The duties of a care coordinator/navigator may include:
